National Dairy Shrine Announces 2018 Core Scholarships - July 2018
DENMARK, WI - The National Dairy Shrine is pleased to announce the recipients of the Maurice Core Scholarships. These $1000 scholarships are given in honor of Maurice Core, the long-time Executive Secretary of the American Jersey Cattle Association, and former Executive Director of the National Dairy Shrine. The funds for this award were donated by the friends of Maurice Core. The Core Scholarships are given to freshman status students working toward a degree in dairy/animal science or related majors and demonstrating growing leadership skills.

DMI Awards Education & Communication Scholarships - July 2018
DENMARK, WI - The National Dairy Shrine is pleased to announce the recipients of the NDS / Dairy Management Inc Education & Communication Scholarships for 2018. These generous scholarships made possible by Dairy Management Inc. and NDS to encourage students to pursue education or communication careers in the dairy product industry or related food industries. Major areas include Marketing, Education, Food Science, Nutrition (Human), Public Relations, Promotion, Social Media and Communications.

DENMARK, WI - The National Dairy Shrine is pleased to announce the recipients of the NDS / DMI Milk and Dairy Product Scholarships for 2018. These generous scholarships made possible by Dairy Management Inc. and NDS to encourage students to pursue careers in dairy product or milk marketing, dairy product development and/or quality control or similar roles in the dairy & food industries.

Iager Dairy Scholarships Awarded to Kruse & Robison - July 2018
DENMARK, WI - The National Dairy Shrine is pleased to announce two recipients of the 2018 Iager Dairy Scholarship. These scholarships were created by an endowment from the Charles and Judy Iager family of Fulton, Maryland. This $1000 scholarship is awarded annually to second-year students enrolled in a two-year agricultural school and pursuing a career in the dairy industry. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, leadership ability, interest in the dairy industry, and future career plans.

National Dairy Shrine Announces Kildee Scholarships - July 2018
DENMARK, WI - Denmark, WI. The National Dairy Shrine is pleased to announce the recipients of their Kildee scholarships for 2018. This scholarship has been awarded since 1950 to an outstanding graduate student in a dairy related field. Dean H.H. Kildee was a renowned educator at Iowa State University and this scholarship honors his great service to the future of the dairy industry.

DENMARK, WI - The National Dairy Shrine is pleased to announce the recipients of the Mike Lancaster Sophomore Merit Scholarships for 2018. These scholarships are designed to encourage qualified sophomore status undergraduate students to pursue careers in the dairy industry or related occupations. This scholarship is named in honor of National Dairy Hall of Fame Distinguished Dairy Cattle Breeder and Klussendorf honoree Mike Lancaster.

Hagenow and Lehner Awarded 2018 McCullough Scholarships - July 2018
DENMARK, WI - Ashley Hagenow of Poynette, Wisconsin and Sarah Lehner of Delaware, Ohio, have been selected as recipients of the 2018 Marshall E. McCullough Scholarships given in memory of Marshall McCullough, the well-respected nutrition researcher and educator from Georgia. This scholarship is presented to two high school seniors planning to attend a four-year college or university to major in an agricultural communications field. The application process includes both a written application and, once finalists are chosen, a video submission responding to specific dairy industry questions.

DENMARK, WI - The National Dairy Shrine is pleased to announce the recipients of the Merton Sowerby Junior Merit Scholarships for 2018. These scholarships are designed to encourage qualified Junior status undergraduate students to pursue careers in the dairy industry or related occupations. This scholarship is named in honor of National Dairy Hall of Fame Pioneer and Klussendorf honoree Merton Sowerby.

National Dairy Shrine Announces Student Recognition Scholarships - July 2018
DENMARK, WI - The National Dairy Shrine is pleased to announce the recipients of the Student Recognition scholarships for 2018. The Student Recognition program recognizes graduating seniors planning a career related to the dairy industry who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, academic ability, and a sincere interest in dairy cattle. Each university is allowed to nominate up to two candidates for this recognition in any given year. The highest winner receives a $2000 award, the second a $1500 award and the other winners receive $1000 awards.

Randy and Jennifer Gross of Ash Grove Dairy, LLP in Lake Benton, Minnesota have been named the Progressive Commercial Dairy Managers of 2018. This award, given by the National Dairy Shrine, is designed to recognize outstanding dairy managers who have introduced and applied effective management and business practices to help achieve a more profitable dairy business. It acknowledges young dairy managers early in their careers and encourages others to look at a career in dairy production.

National Dairy Shrine Announces 2018 Scholarship Winners - June 2018
Denmark, WI. - The National Dairy Shrine is pleased to announce the winners of their dairy scholarships for 2018. National Dairy Shrine will provide 40 scholarships worth more than $45,000 to students at their annual scholarship & awards banquet on Thursday, October 4th in Madison, Wisconsin. This announcement highlights the scholarship winners so their friends and family can plan ahead to attend the NDS Banquet. More detailed news releases on scholarship recipients will be published this summer as student recipient photos become available.

The National Dairy Shrine is again looking for applications for its annual scholarship program. Applications are accepted from March 1 until the deadline of April 15. Official scholarship application award forms are available on the NDS web site, www.dairyshrine.org under scholarships.
