Areas of focus: Forage Quality and Calf Performance 1. Work with outside technical services to support key producers during harvest season. Develop sound foundational knowledge of forage products (silage coverings, inoculants, bags, etc.) and production practices. 2. Work with outside technical services to support key producers with their calf growing program gaining an understanding of their protocols and procedures. Develop a checklist for the farm highlighting 3-5 target “behaviors or habits” that can improve calf performance. 3. Update the contact information in CRM 4. Position requires extensive travel in Florida and Georgia, 55+ hour weeks, and availability on weekends.
Collect silage, TMR, and fecal samples for analysis. Compile sample and analyses results. Organize observations into a formal presentation assessing collected data to provide feedback for individual operations. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Establish and build effective customer relationships to solve complex customer issues. Provide feedback to customers to improve their forage management capabilities and enhance their calf program’s performance. Gain an understanding of Feed Mill operation.
